New LINKS Missionaries

This year our assigned LINKS missionaries have changed!  To read more about what the LINKS program is about, click here for a previous blog post.

The Acosta family is located in Lima, Peru.  They are Venezuelan missionaries called to minister to their neighbors, the Peruvians.  The hold a few different positions within the church system, but we thought we'd highlight their family and how you can best pray for them.

José David and his wife Luzmaris have two beautiful children, Daniela and Daviana, ages 5 and 3.  Daviana loves to sing and to play with her My Little Pony toys.  Daniela is learning to play the piano and loves to play with her dogs.
They ask you to pray for a few specific things:
- Their girls beginning in a new school this year
- Their fundraising that supports their living expenses
- Several trips planned for their ministry coming up
- For the mission project teams that come to Peru to serve

Please be in prayer for this family.  They are serving the Lord in a culture not their own.

Secondly, our other LINKS missionary is a retired gentleman who served in South Africa.  His name is Philip Steigleder.  He received the call to missions while in the Marines and witnessing missionary results in the Solomon Islands.  When he returned to college in January 1946, the Lord told him, "I do not want your money, I want you."  His prayer requests are:
- That people would send money to Headquarters to help students who are called to the ministry, so they can enroll in Bible Schools and answer that call from God.
- That Jesus Films will continue to reach people and bring about the great revival that our world needs.

Please be in prayer for this man - he is a great example of someone who has responded to God's call throughout his whole life!
